Karen O'Hagan, West Shore's new director, comes to us from New Jersey. She holds a BA in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education from Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College) in New Jersey. Her work experience has been in child care centers upon graduation in 1986 working with all ages of children ranging from infants to school age both as a teacher and a director.
For the past 13 years she was employed at the Wyckoff Family YMCA. She was the Aquatics Director, Co-director of the Fitness Center and the Director of Child Care Services. As the director of child care services she was responsible for the daily operations of the center which services children ranging in ages from infant to school age.
The Administration Board of West Shore Child Care Center is made of five Church representatives and five parent representatives who are appointed by the Minister and the Director of the Center, respectively. The Director and liaisons are not voting members but attend board meetings.
