PreK: 4's & 5's not eligible for kindergarten
Full Time Only, Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 6:00 pm
- A group of 16 children and two teachers in one room
- Lesson plans implement the Early Learning Content Standards
- Five major areas or competencies are covered: language,
math & reasoning, scientific understanding, social & emotional development, and physical
development
- Self-help skills continue to be fostered
- Kindergarten readiness is a focus
- A child's day alternates between playing in carefully-designed
learning centers, large-muscle play inside or out, and
teacher-directed activites in small or large groups
- Lunch, morning and afternoon snack are included in tuition
- Indoor large muscle play space with spacious outdoor views
- Outside play on playground or other areas around building,
weather permitting
- Children eat lunch around noon and nap until 2:30
- Children begin and end their day combined with
Young Preschool children
