Preschool: Children 3 and 4 years & toilet-trained
Full Time Only, Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 6:00 pm
- A group of 12 children (usually less) and one teacher in a room
of their own
- Lesson plans implement the Early Learning Content Standards
- Five major areas or competencies are covered: language arts,
math & reasoning, scientific understanding, social & emotional development, & physical
development
- Self-help skills continue to be fostered
- Indoor large muscle play space with spacious outdoor views
- Outside play on playground or other areas around building,
weather permitting
- A child's day alternates between playing in carefully-designed
learning centers, large-muscle play inside or out, and teacher-
directed activites in small or large groups
- Lunch, morning & afternoon snack are included in tuition
- Children nap on cots after lunch
- Children eat lunch at noon and nap until approximately 2:30
- Children begin and end their day combined with Preschool children
