West Shore
CHILD
Care Center
|
Toddler Two is a group of seven, usually more verbal and more
sure-footed two-year-olds who, at some point while in this age grouping, begin
the process of toilet training. The timing for this depends first on the
child's readiness, and second, the parents' decision to begin the process with
our support. West Shore's goal is to be a team with parents in all
endeavors, and most necessarily in toilet training.
Highlights of Toddler Two

Program
Children this age have many questions which teachers attempt to answer,
encouraging meaningful conversation with each child. Teachers provide a variety
of play activities and opportunities for peer interaction, including pretend
play and materials for naming, sorting, comparing, and simple measuring.
Teachers help children to vocalize and appropriately express their feelings
during small and large group play opportunities.
